The New iPad is out!
The Third Generation iPad is available for pre-order and pick up on March 16th. Apple seems to be calling it The New iPad.
One of the main new features is the 2048 x 1536 pixel Retina display which will make any photo, graphic or video a thing to behold. The screen has a 264 pixels per inch density. Color will also be 40% better than before.
The latest processor is the A5X, which includes a quad-core graphics module. Apple says it’s twice as fast as a Tegra 3 and has “four times” the graphics performance.
The new iPad supports fast cellular networks the world over — up to 4G LTE.
The New iPad has a new camera on the back. It has a 5-megapixel side-iluminated sensor, with 5-element lens and an infrared filter. The iSight camera uses advanced optics to give you the best picture possible. With an ƒ/2.4 aperture and a five-element lens, it captures light efficiently to produce a sharper overall image.
1080p Video Recording
The camera is also capable of capturing 1080p video, which is stabilized. It has temporal noise reduction as well.
Even with the new improvements the battery life will stay at 10 hours!!
The New iPad’s operating system offers a new microphone button, which will allow you to dictate emails.
The New iPad is almost the same size as iPad2: only 0.03 inches thicker at 0.37 inches (9.4 millimeters). It weighs 1.5 pounds.
The New iPad is available on March 16, but the pre-order starts today. It will be available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia on the same day.
